“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller

In the next couple of weeks, Brett & I will be taking some business trips, and I’m actually really looking forward to them. We’ve decided to take some extra days and explore the areas. I urge anyone reading this blog to visit new places, even if it’s just a day trip. There is so much to experience, and it doesn’t have to be exotic or far away.

I love the balance of bitter-sweetness when traveling … the joy of encountering something new, but I also gain more appreciation for home <3.

Sunset Love.

I look forward to each and every sunset when camping.

… capturing its beauty without cars, buildings and power lines is such a treat.

Be well,
Angela

Sports Charities

I volunteered at the 2012 Sports Charity Celebrity Golf Tournament this past week, and had the privilege of attending the reception the evening before the golf scramble. With Brett by my side we mingled with some OU/OSU past football players … who were super sweet gentlemen. It’s such an honor to spend an evening with a group of guys involved in such a wonderful charity, and giving their time to make a difference!

… we manged to snap a picture with some past OSU football players – the sweetest guys ever, such a wonderful evening!
Right: Mark Moore (All American Safety); Brett (Hubby); Me (only girl); Rusty Hilger (Quarterback); Mike Hudson (Defensive Back); Another Alumni

GO POKES!

Once the event came to an end, we walked out to a beautiful sunset <3.

Angela

R & J

I had the lovely pleasure of taking pictures of Rachel, my oldest friend in the entire world, and her adorable son Jaron.

Rachel and I have been friends since 2nd grade, and she’s truly one of my life’s treasures. Her mom & dad are like my 2nd parents and I just have so much love for the W family.

Thank you for being my models for the evening – love you both to pieces <3.

She has such a genuine and sweet vibe about her that shows in her pictures.

Jaron is full of energy with a contagious smile you cant help but adore <3.

Friends forever,
Angela

“A squirrel is just a rat with a cuter outfit!” – Sarah Jessica Parker

You can imagine my excitement when I spotted this little bright squirrel. He’s dressed like a little OSU fan (;

… what you really missed, was my dance party, when I got a shot of him looking at the camera.

I named him Carroty.

City Street Light Skies.

Previously, I mentioned how living in the city makes it difficult to capture pretty skies. Why not embrace it? Here are some of my favorite sky portraits … with, of course, city street lights<3.

…the below sunset I got to enjoy all the way home <3.

Stay positive,
Angela

Have a wonderful weekend <3.

Nature Moments.

… tiny home in the woods

… a stick farm (inside joke!)

… a bug’s life (:

These were all taken on a really overcast day, but still the perfect weather for a long walk.

We experienced our first thunderstorm in our camper. My favorite soporific sound is rain, so imagine my delight all snuggled in bed with rain drops dancing on our camper roof – truly an unforgettable moment.

The campsite felt fresh in the morning … everything was clean and literally glowing <3.

Keep smiling,
Angela

P.S. How did I turn the comments off for this post?? To make it even worse I have no idea how to turn them back on – HELP?!

You can leave me a comment on my earlier post or e-mail me –> capturing.simplicity (at) yahoo (dot) com

Thank you!

Destiny.

It was even more beautiful in person.

Watch your thoughts; they become words …
Watch your words; they become actions …
Watch your actions; they become habits …
Watch your habits; they become character …
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny!

Keep smiling,
Angela

PS. This is a close 2nd to my favorite sunset <3.
